Usercontent in the shape of little buttons for community profiles, websites or signatures, were always present.

So let's travel back in time to show you a little part of the big evolution of digital design in the shape of typical userbars and userbuttons as they were designed in each of their years until individuality finally took over in 2016... and was soon widely pushed back again by the popularity of Bootstrap's default style.
